Who we are
The Talent Team is the event-staffing platform run by The Talent Team LLC ("we", "us"), 5445 Oceanus Drive #113, Huntington Beach, CA 92649. We provide staff to our clients' events, such as Jiu Jitsu World League tournaments. The platform is used by people who work those events as independent contractors and by coordinators who schedule and pay them.
What we collect
- Account: name, phone number, email address, and the identifier from the sign-in provider you use (Google, Apple, or a phone code).
- Profile: home address (used to estimate distance to venues), optional photo, bio and prior experience.
- Work: events you request, shifts you are assigned, confirmations, clock-in and clock-out times, location at clock-in when an event requires it, ratings from supervisors, training results, messages exchanged in the app.
- Pay: amounts earned, reimbursement claims and receipts, and the payee you choose to be paid under. We do not store tax identification numbers or bank account numbers; those are collected and held by our tax-form and payout providers.
How we use it
- To staff events: matching your availability and qualifications to shifts, confirmations, reminders and event-day coordination.
- To pay you and meet tax obligations, including IRS Form 1099-NEC reporting by The Talent Team LLC when required.
- To send you notifications in the app and, if you have not read an important one, by text message.
- To keep the platform secure and to diagnose problems.
Who we share it with
Service providers acting for us: hosting and database (Vercel, Neon), sign-in (Google, Apple), text messaging, W-9 and 1099 processing, and payouts. The client whose event you are working, and its on-site supervisors, see the information needed to run that event: your name, position, schedule, attendance and ratings. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Work and pay records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years). You can ask us to delete your profile at any time; records we must keep by law are retained.
Your choices
You can update your profile in the app, choose how you are paid, and turn off text messages by replying STOP. To access, correct or delete your data, contact us below.
